When George Payne, Product Availability Manager with the local Pepsi Beverages Company, suggested that the company raise funds for the local Boys & Girls Clubs, he had no idea he would be leading a charge that would ultimately be more successful that anyone anticipated. Darin Ryding, Pepsi-Danville’s Unit Manager, encourages community involvement within the plant, and asked George to plan and lead the fundraiser, assisted by Jason Hall, Territory Sales Manager.

The Boys and Girls Club in Danville had a special visitor Tuesday- former member of the band The Fugees, John Forte.

An 8th grader at Gibson Middle School in Danville will take home this year's Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year award. Lamar Redd was nominated because of his serious attitude toward school and positive example at the club.
